The Gateway mission, also known as Lunar Gateway, is NASA's planned lunar orbit space station as part of the Artemis programme.

Gateway will enable astronauts to live and work in lunar orbit for up to three months, testing technologies for long-duration spaceflight beyond Earth's magnetic protection. It supports surface landings using docked landing modules such as SpaceX's Starship and serves as a laboratory for radiation, astronomy and robotics studies.

Led by NASA with partners such as ESA, JAXA, CSA and private companies, the station benefits from contributions such as Canada's Canadarm3 robotic arm and the European Esprit module.
