The Step Pyramid of Djoser is located in Saqqara, Egypt, and is one of the oldest pyramids in the world. Built in the 27th century BC for Pharaoh Djoser, it was designed by the famous architect Imhotep and is considered a revolutionary achievement in ancient Egyptian architecture. The pyramid consists of six layers, reaching a height of 60 metres, and is surrounded by a complex of ceremonial structures and temples. The step pyramid complex is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
