The Tianwen-1 spacecraft, launched in July 2020, included an orbiter, lander, and the 240 kg Zhurong rover, which touched down in Utopia Planitia. Zhurong operated for about one Martian year, traveling nearly 2 km while using instruments like panoramic cameras, ground-penetrating radar, and a laser spectrometer. It entered hibernation in May 2022 due to dust on solar panels and has not reactivated.
