An astronaut walks past Dynetics' lunar lander, known as the Dynetics Human Landing System (DHLS) or ALPACA, a compact design proposed for NASA's Artemis programme to transport astronauts from lunar orbit to the surface.
The lander featured a single-stage structure with integrated propulsion for ascent and descent, using modular propellant vehicles for refuelling. Its low-slung horizontal configuration placed the crew cabin close to the surface for easy access, allowing docking with Orion or Gateway.
