Control module layout
Inside the Apollo command module, the astronauts sat in three seats arranged side by side, with the commander on the left, the command module pilot in the centre and the lunar module pilot on the right. Above and in front of them were the main instrument panels, covered with labelled switches, indicator lights, DSKY computer interfaces, and rotary controls, all within easy reach in the small conical cabin.
