The Perseverance rover is a NASA robotic vehicle and the Ingenuity drone exploring Mars since its landing in Jezero Crater on 18 February 2021, as part of the Mars 2020 mission. Its main goals are to search for signs of ancient microbial life, study Martian rocks and climate, and collect samples that could later be returned to Earth.
